to die would be an awfully big adventure.

This is a music post where I will rec some... hmm... music without lyrics?

What some of you might not know about me is that I love classical music and instrumental music. Mozart, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi... I'm a big fan! But I also love movie scores.

One of my favorite movies is the Peter Pan movie from 2003. Not only is it one of my favorite movies, but it also has some of my favorite music. The track Flying by James Newton Howard is just amazing. It's so full off energy and it always brings me up. I love listening to it, it makes me happy.

James Newton Howard - Flying (Peter Pan)

James Newton Howard - Fairy Dance (Peter Pan)

Other scores he made: King Kong, I Am Legend, The Hunger Games.

Another of my favorite movies, the French movie Les Choristes, does contain lyrics but the music is too beautiful not to post. Listen to it even if you don't understand French, because the music is just beautiful and if it weren't for the fact that I don't believe in heaven and all that, I would guess that it's an angel's voice singing the solo's (it's a little boy!).

Les Choristes - Caresse sur l'océan

Les Choristes - Ave Maria (listen to those voices... crazy!)

65daysofstatic is a band that I know absolutely nothing about that does instrumental music. I just happened to discover one of their songs and I liked it (except for the ending).

65daysofstatic - Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here

Another one of those bands that I know nothing about is Explosions in the Sky. They make some great instrumental music and I discovered them a couple of years ago. Warning: the songs are really long, like 10 minutes. So listen to them before going to bed or something, when you have the time.

Explosions in the Sky - The Only Moment We Were Alone

Explosions in the Sky - Six Days At The Bottom Of The Ocean

Explosions in the Sky - First Breath After Coma

Now some classical music! My favorite is a song by Edvard Grieg that I think most have heard, however, there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who have heard of Edvard. Anyway, he's a Norwegian composer and the song below is ah-mazing. Close your eyes, relax and listen.

Edvard Grieg - Morning (Peer Gynt)

I'm too lazy to write about every composer so I'll just post the rest of my favorite classical songs.

Antonio Vivaldi - Spring 1st Mvt. (The Four Seasons)

Peter Tchaikovsky - Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker)

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Rondo Alla Turca (The Turkish March)

Antonín Dvo řák - New World Symphony No. 9

I'm going to Italy later this afternoon so I have to go get ready. I won't update the blog if there's no Wi-Fi, so if I don't find any, see you in three weeks :)
